Best Mod For the Money
Dual Electric Fans were the best mod I have done so far. For the 4.3l, it made a big difference. Cost less than $200 for the whole get up. Real Happy

Is that a fan set up built just for the 4.3L appication, or did you build it up yourself? The only fan set that i could find was around 400

PepBoys Special
It was assembled from (2) hayden electric fans and the relay and wiring harness kit that their book recommended. Was not that difficult. Got everything from PepBoys

yeah you could spend all that money on mods, or you could just drop in a 350 or something, i have a 4.3 its not bad, but its not worth the money to make it better, unless it was in a s-10 fsc is to heavy for v-6

new 5.3 crate engine=$4000
All the mods i can do off that list=$1800
Not to mention that you will be without a truck for weeks while doing the swap
Doesn't sound very cost effective to me

Weeks? Are you having Izzy do it?

How many of these will work or can get the same thing for a 97 Chevy? (im getting a 4.3L v6 soon also..in a week and a half...) I plan on raising it and I could use all the power I can get back that Im going to loose on running 33s or 35s.....
.....its an automatic..... (eh I'd like a manual but Im not complain when im stuck in traffic or doing somethat that ties up a hand.... I think manual becomes a pain in the butt so I'll just take whatever I get...)

One thing that i found, and i was searching the list but didnt see it, is a Venom 400, it claims to add up to a 25% increase in HP, its like 300$ i think, and it seems to have alot of advantages.
Check it out....
http://www.truckperformance.com/prod...ductID=1290135
I think that might only make them for the 4.3s up to 98 though
I retract i previous statement, i miss read, though it said 88-02 mods, which would make any sense anyways... i am an idiot
everyone point and laugh, its ok
