I bet your truck has no power anywhere... a 3" pipe to a single muffler to dual 2.75 tips will look cool and will flow plenty and still give u planty of back presure

Re: TBI Mods.
94 blazer 350 TBI

Live at high elevation in Colorado.

I have a 454 TBI unit but have a hard time finding anyone who has made it work successfully.

The stock manifold ports are small anyway so not sure what good a bigger TBI would do unless I get a different manifold.

Is there anyone who could recommend a "working setup"... I guess I dont have the time or $$ to experiment ... I'd just like to get a little more air into the engine at this elevation and since I have the intake and heads off now... seems like a good time to look into it more.

Thanks!!

you're far from stock, you need something other than a stock PCM.

Stock 193's with a 3 angle valve job. 17.50's on up is pretty typical for a 1988-1995 TBI truck; stock or with some bolt ons you might see a 17.20. The best I've run when I had the 350 engine and just some TBI mods & headers was a 16.98 @ 78.3 mph. The 95 from the factory was rated @ 210 hp and 300 ft/lbs. Even with mods your only at 250-265 hp and that ain't gonna push 5000 lbs faster than a 17+ 1/4 mile.

My 383 with accessories and mufflers is only rated @ 310 hp and 410 ft/lbs. and mid 14's is about as good as you'll get with those numbers.

Re: TBI Mods.
This was my very best time slip before the 383 was installed and this was with TBI mods, headers, blaster coil, Ram air tube and K&N filter and a Jet stage 2 chip (which I have for sale right now for $55 shipped) It's listed in the for sale thread. It's for a 1995 w/auto trans. Before the chip I was running 17.78 @ 77 mph after the chip 17.20's; chip and headers, etc I ran this....

Ultra Tech 383, 10:1 * Scat, Eagle & KB
Crane H-266-2 * Edelbrock Performer * Holley 670 TBI
Walbro 255 * Pace Setter Headers & CAI
MSD * Built 4L60E, Vette Servo *
Sinister Performance Tuned * Etc.

I have a nice starter Chip that would help those mods. I had it on my 350 but now I have a 383 and it wont work for me any more. Its a Jet Stage 2 Performance Chip for 1995 GM trucks with a 350 and auto trans. They run about $160 from Jegs or Summit but I'll sell mine for $55 shipped to your door.

Its listed in the For Sale threads. It has a good description there. PM me if interested. Check out my post in this thread also. Click on the link below to goto the for sale ad for the Jet Chip.

Talking Re: TBI Mods.
Just replaced the throttle body with a CFM-Technologies
unit. Very pleased: no lights, idled fine from the get go.
Noticeable performance increase especially in the low end,
no early shift problems, pulled strong all the way to red
line 5200 with WOT.
