Thank you guys for all your input. Looks like I'm gonna get the volant intake, Thorley headers (they come w/ the y-pipe, correct?), and Wester's PCM. In that order, but as cash permits. After that, who knows?

PS: Just wanted to know....throttle body spacer or new throttle body? The CFM Tech bored out trottle body looks nice.

Reburns are subject to a $45.00 shipping and handling fee as of November 01/2003. A quote from Wester's website. Still better than $150 though. Also, I just checked out the order form. They really do customize for ANY addon. Man, I can't wait til I've get an intake and headers and the new PCM! Just gotta get the cash and I'm good to go !

PS: I'd like to get some input on some of the settings you guys used on the Wester's (mostly transmission and torque managemanent settings) and...what is torque management? Thx!

Just got an email from Lyndon at Wester's. Great guy! He answered the day after I emailed. Nice service! Can't wait to order my parts and the new PCM! Almost makes ya wanna throw down on some forced induction, if it weren't for the $$.

Just thought about this, but what brands of synthetic oils do most of you guys use, if any? I'm looking at Castrol, Mobil 1, and Amsoil. Any one better than the other and what is the usual service life (for a daily driver)? Thx again! I've also seen brands like Redline and Royal Purple advertised on Performance TV shows. Are they really worth it or overkill for a non/rarely-raced engine?

Looks like I'm going to make the switch to synthetic Amsoil 10W-30. Between that and the 91 octane tuning I'll eventually get done by Wester's, my engine will probably run better than new.

Would I get good results adding a tb spacer along w/ my Volant intake and a CFM Tech tb blade? Thx! Also, any votes to make this a sticky thread? It's got a lot more info than those other threads for the 99-up trucks.

You will notice a little bit more lowend if you get the helix throttlebody spacer with your volant intake. You just have to find some longer bolts so they will go down in the upperintake manifold to hold the volant tube on.I would do it along with your volant intake.

Why would you buy a TB blade when you can just rip off the aluminum flap that comes stock with it??? I just ripped mine off and covered the holes with epoxy. Much eaier, and essentially free.

Thinking about electric fans in the future. I'm going w/ either Flex-a-lite or Perma-Cool. Is one better that the other, I know the Perma-cool costs more. It looks like most of you guys use Flex-a-lite. Does it come wired w/ a harness and good instructions? Lemme know. Thx!

91 or 93 octane tuning for Wester's? How much difference is there?

If 93 octane gas is available in your area then I would get 93 tuning.
