yet another muffler question

Hey guys sorry but I have searched and cant get any of the right hits. Is it worth me adding just a muffler i.e. thrush, flowmaster, magnaflow, to my 07 classic Sierra crew z71 w/5.3?

Re: yet another muffler question

Depends on what you're after. It'll sound a lot better than stock, as a truck should. But as far as performance wise, maybe a little better response. And your MPGs will go down as you will lay on it to hear it! JMO.

Re: yet another muffler question

I have Magnaflow and have had nothing but stock before so I can't really compare anything else. What I did was search YouTube videos for exhaust setups. There are a ton of them. Listen to some and decide which sound suits you. Unless you are going all out (i.e. headers, true duals, y-pipe, whatever) replacing the stock muffler is a great, relatively cheap mod that you'll be happy with. Good Luck.

Flowmaster 40 or Cherry Bomb Extreme

If you don't like drone, these aren't really for you though.
