Re: roots blower
Fits just fine. Looks O.K, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it for the 100 HP and approx 100 ft-lbs of torque it adds. I'll try and find the camera pics tonight and scan them at work tomorrow and post.

Re: roots blower
Only a 100/100 gain?
It looks nice and clean. You can barely even tell it's there.Quote:

Re: roots blower
They are not quite as effecient (adiabatically) as the twin screw Whipple. They say 100/100 on a stock engine. With the cam and headers/exhaust I'm up to about 375 HP/420 ft-lb at the motor (reverse calculated from the rear wheel dyno estimating a total of 20% parasitic losses). At the time I think the whipple was like $4000 USD new and this B&M one was $1900 USD all inclusive. That's pretty much why I bought it because it was 1/2 the price. Don't forget, these are the old TBI engines so it takes a little more effort to make good power numbers yet still keep it emissions compliant. The injectors are one of the bigger issues.

Re: roots blower
Not to interupt but Are you running additional injectors or have you tuned it with more pressure? Just wondering because im thinking of doing the same thing to mine but didnt want the hassle of running add on injectors. Thanks for any info!!!

Re: roots blower
80 or 90 lbs/hr (can't remember exactly) 454 injectors, boost referenced fuel pressure regulator and custom burned PROM to make these all work.
Base FP is supposed to be 13 psi at idle going up to 22 at full boost. I can't confirm these exact numbers though because I don't have the fuel pressure gauge installed yet.
