Turbo Question 05 silverado 5.3
I want to put a turbo on my truck but i dont want the rear mounted turbo kit i was wondering if anybody knows if somebody makes under hood kits or just if i could find some turbo headers for my 5.3 that would be awsome. Let me know if anybody knows of anything.

I was just planning on using a set of gto manifolds, flipped to face forward. There's no need to waste money on a kit when you can fab it up for 25% of the price.

By headers, do you mean a log manifold, to mount the turbo to? If so, then you can not purchase these by themselves, at least you couldn't a year ago. If you want the manifolds that I was going to use, you can have em for $30. I have the heat shields too.

You say 25% of the cost?I have an 03 5.3L 4x4 that Im looking to do something like that to.Please give me the whole run down of parts and prices.Seems like people say its possible?But they never care to fully explain from start to finish so to speak.

A company called Trick Performance Products makes a nice front mount turbo kit for your truck.
