tuning pcm on whippled 00 5.3
Hey there, I'm just about to install my whipple on my 00 5.3. I have ditched the whipple electronics and gone with larger injectors and fuel pump. Do I need to change my pcm at the same time? or will it run well enough to get me to a dyno to do a predator tune? Or should I just wait for Justin to get me a pcm set up for my truck?

I just want to get this done, it's been sittin on the shelf for way to long.

Thanks

You can run the stock PCM in the mean time. But for sure needs to be tuned as soon as you can. I wouldnt do a WOT run on anytime. Best thing just wait to get the PCM back or take it to the dyno, IMO!

Wait for Justin. It'll be well worth it.

Did you relocate the IAT sensor?

If bigger injectors are in already you need to rescale them first.

Yes bowtie, I've got the sensor figured out, and I've been in contact with Justin and am going to wait till I've got it, and switch everything at once.
Thanks all.

If you run the stock computer with larger injectors it will run like crap and foul out the plugs. I would recommend having a mail order tune done on your computer. Some shops require you mail them the PCM and they will mail it back tuned. A few will send you out a new PCM in advance and you just swap it out and send back your stocker.
