Whipple oil fill ?
Do you fill the oil the same place the dipstick is ? Checked my oil and it wasn't reading on stick....only took a smidgen of oil to get it to read ... hope it was ok.....i used the dipstick hole to fill. Where do you drain the oil from the charger ... a plug underneath somewhere ? Thanks

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
Yes you fill it through the dipstick hole. DO NOT over fill. On the opposite end you'll find a drain plug similar to the fill plug.

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
What year is your truck? Mine has an oil fill hole separate from the dipstick.

Yeah on the 98. I'll take a picture tomorrow in the daylight and post it up. Its on the right off the block, and has a big cap with the oil symbol on it.

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
Mine doesn't have a dipstick.
It has two fill holes on top and one drain/level hole/plug on the side at the bottom. ![]()

If that's the case...how come we're like 19 hrs ahead of you guys? Hey...bet you didn't realize you're talking to the future ![]() Actually....mine came from a guy in AZ. That's the first time I've seen one of the 'dipsticks'. I just remove the lower plug in mine and fill until it's about to come out that hole.
Best wishes

I saw that coming. I think mine is one of the last kits built for the OBS L31. That may be why it has a dipstick.Quote:

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
Mine looks exactly the same as your dipstick model whipple....how often do you add oil to yours ? Mine wasnt reading on the stick.....but it didnt take much at all to get it to read again on the stick....not much at all....so there was probrably still quite a bit in there.

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
After I fill it I never have to add oil. Just when I change it.

Re: Whipple oil fill ?
The only place it can go is leak through a seal or plug. You'd be able to see it. I would put all new oil in it for piece of mind if nothing else.
