Re: whipple help

tried the tps and it changed nothing, but while i was messing with the dist i noticed that when i turn the cap as if i were trying to time the motor it would make my injectors pulse ....could it be in the module that fits under the cap, that is what i think could be it

Re: whipple help

lets take a step back

Did you remove the dizzy
did you remove and replace the intake manifold
did you cap ALL the ports on the tbi
did you check the side of the SC manifold there was ports there also

Re: whipple help

I know I keep asking questions but I am trying to get all the information to try and lend a hand.can you take some pics around the sc manifold and tb area's

on the sc manifold there are three on the right and two i think on the left one is for your map the other should be plugged
are you running the stock chip ?
what is your idle speed currently.

take all ports on the TBI one in the back and three in the front. cap them.
then work on the timing, disconnect the EST wire, you may have to move the dizzy to get it running, set the timing at 0 tighten the dizzy down. shut down and reconnect your EST wire, disconnect the battery for a few minutes. hook back up and restart. then we know the base timing is set to stock.

lets go from there.

Re: whipple help

Well thats a given your going to need a tune. But I did not have a high idle issue before I tuned it...
so with the SC off did you get your timing set ?

also were you running the Whipple Fuel pressure regulator?. I still think you have a vac leak.
I had the same issue on my jeep took me two weeks to find that the plate under the supercharger was not sealing. I used carb clean to find the issue. got it running and started spraying it over the seems of everything.

did you use the stuff I told you too when you put it back on.

Re: whipple help

the truck is runing like crap i am thinking you are right bout the vac leak,i sprayed every where around the intake but it did not change anything so i am guessing maybe it could be leaking from the bottom side of the intake..i am going to replace it tommorow and see if it fixes it.if that does not work it might be a wiring problem i think cause my trans has started to act funny since i replaced the intake gasket from last time.

Re: whipple help

Ok lets step back a minute.

When you took the whipple off it ran fine yes, if so this would eliminate the intake manifold but did you spray around the whipple mating surfaces ?.

When you say its running like crap this may be a tune issue. if your still having high idle then I would lean to the vak leak.

If need be give me a quick call you have my cell number

Here are some vids of the first start up with the whipple and new motor

Re: whipple help

it is idleing high, not like a tune prob but like a leak so i am going to put new intake gaskets on and see if it will fix it before i try to put the whipple back on.and get this today when i was trying to get it to start ,i had the key on motor not running, and when i pushed the gas i could hear the injectors making a funny sound.

i am a bit confused... the knocksensor is not a allen head plug. the knock sensor goes on the passenger side on the block.
