Re: Looking to add forced induction
Look at Magnacharger or Whipple. Magnacharger has had them out for a little while and Whipple is just coming out with their newer version

Re: Looking to add forced induction
Prochargers web site has the 08 6L listed. I have a procharger on my 02 2500HD. You will use the same blower on yours the only diff is the fuel set-up.
Procharger is the only blower that all come intercooled, you can run 7-10# 100% duty cycle. I own two

Re: Looking to add forced induction
Check out the new Vortech twin screw blower. They will give the MagnaCharger TVS1900 & 2300's a run for their money.

Re: Looking to add forced induction
It all depends on cost.....are you looking for new or used? A lot of the guys are upgrading to TVS models so there are quite a few deals to be had.

Re: Looking to add forced induction
Yeah just depends on how much you want to spend. Twin screws give the most consistent power from idle to redline, but a procharger will give you more on top.

Re: Looking to add forced induction
Well, I use my truck for my bussiness which is carpentry and construction so I think that consistent power from idle to redline would be best. I haul load after load of lumber and tow a 5 ton skid steer quite often so I Think that would best. One more question I have is will it kill my gas milage? Granted I only get 10 on average now running 93 with a superchips cortex tuner on tow mode most of the time with my 285/75's but I don't really want to drop down any more than that if possible.

Re: Looking to add forced induction
Well a blower isn't going to help mileage it just depends on how often you keep your foot in it. With my daily driving I saw about a half mile per gallon loss. If I open the truck up that's where I drop a couple of miles per gallon. When towing I really didn't see any difference, the blower actually help the truck pull easier

Re: Looking to add forced induction
When towing was my main concern for gas mileage so if it's only a half gallon or so then it's not that bad. I'm not going to get one untill spring when I'm sure of steady work so I'll just take some time and research whats out there new and keep an eye out for a good used system.

Yeah when towing I get about 12mpg depending on the terrain and weight and before the blower I got about 13mpg, I saw a bigger difference adding the lift and 35's
