Datalogging Question
i was looking into gettin my truck tuned with someone local...the local tuner has the software yet he says that the Jet DST tuning software does not offer a datalogging software?
so my question is....
Is there an external software that u guys know of that i could use as datalogging that would work on a 1996 5.7L Vortec 1500 Ext cab...? any info will help...this is kind of urgent seeing as if i wanna throw in a decent cam i HAVE to tune it and Handheld tuners are kind of weak IMO

Re: Datalogging Question
MXSCAN (www.monodax.com) will work with the Jet DST hardware.

Unless MXScan has been recently updated and I don't know it, it will not datalog the '96/'97 Vortec trucks, sorry "5point7joe". I know James is working on it but I don't think it has been released. The only datalogging software that works with the '96/'97 Vortec trucks is Autotap. It is not too expensive and is what most of the early Vortec truck tuners are using to daqtalog along with TunerCat OBDII/JET DST to program. HTH

Re: Datalogging Question
I wouldn't bother with MXscan right now,I got it when he released the trial and still have it with all the current update's and to be honest I haven't used it to tune yet really.
It's almost useless for much right now, still waiting on more update's.
I use Autotap on my 97,you simply have to convert it to a .CSV file to export to Excel. Atap has a utility built into the program for it.
You can datalog with any scanner that has the ability to read OBDII and record I would think.
Don't need any "enhanced" PIDS that I can think of.
