Dealer reflash needed?
If I have a 1997 vehicle and just put a 1999/2000 motor in it that specs out around 30-40 more hp and torque, do I need to go to a dealer and get my PCM reflashed to get the extra performance out of it? I'm asking about a Ford Expedition here. new motor had bigger ports and I need all I can to tow a landscaping trailer.

thanx

Re: Dealer reflash needed?
Yes you need a re-flash. You might even need to get a newer PCM.
