Tune ?'s for nnbs 6.0
I'm trying to decide if I want the Predator or Blackbear on my 2008 6.0L. Well, here's my main questions:
I've read that the predator will not remove the torque managment and will not adjust shift points. Is this true? Can a Blackbear tune do this? I want to turn off my AFM. I want all 8 cylinders all the time. Will either of them turn it off?

Re: Tune ?'s for nnbs 6.0
True, the Diablo does not adjust shift points or TM yet. But a "soon" to be software release is suppose to fix that.
I personally Still really like the diablo. It made a nice improvement over stock, espeically with the performance tune and dialed in LTFTs. Diablo can also turn off the AFM to if desired. But if your looking for max performance, I'd def. go with a custom tune. Just remember, if your dealer finds out, your warranty is toast. The main reason I went with Diablo, I can remove it before any dealer visit. Good luck Steven Wonder when GM will build an Acadia Denali with the 6.0 in it? I'd buy one in a heart beat if they did. ![]() 2007 GMC Sierra SLT Vmax. 4.10 gears, Bedrug, Boss MT100 20x8.5 wheels/Kumho STX tires, Extang Bed cover, Line of Fire, Denali Grill, GM Performance Intake and DiabloSport Predator. Re: Tune ?'s for nnbs 6.0
DO NOT buy a diablo. i was looking into it when i was getting a tune and i was EXTREMELY unimpressed. their customer service sucks, and they have had nothing but problems on the nnbs vehicles, some of their handhelds even fried the pcms on a few trucks. Diablo will not remove TM or adjust shift points. You will be MUCH happier with a blackbear tune.
My V-max was tuned with EFI Live and i am EXTREMELY happy with it. I can't stress enough to stay away from diablo. ![]() James 2008 Chevy Silverado LTZ Vortec Max w/6" Superlift 2005 Chevy Silverado Z71 w/6" Superlift FIT kit **SOLD** 2001 Chevy Camaro SS 12.44@107.92 **SOLD** |

Re: Tune ?'s for nnbs 6.0
Ok, say I went with a Blackbear and a month later I got some bigger tires or added a CAI or something. Do I have to send it back to have it reprogrammed, or is there some way to do it on the internet?
Sorry if these sound like dumb questions, this is the first time I ever messed around with tuning vehicles.

Re: Tune ?'s for nnbs 6.0
you would have to send it back, but it's still very worth it. Luckily for me there is a high performance shop that does tunes about 3 miles from my house making it easy for my EFI Live tune.
