Re: corvette servos
Servo's do what exactly? is it better to have a shift kit and a servo all together in one installation? or can you cheap out and just get a servo...
Too many problems to list...

Re: corvette servos
You can cheap out and just get the servo but you'll see the best results with a shift kit as well.

Re: corvette servos
Still not too sure what the servo does but either way I installed mine tonight and man what a difference. Feels nice and firm when it shifts/downshifts, but not harsh and its not as firm at part throttle. Before this I was sure I was in for a tranny rebuild, now I just hope I've saved it! with a little help from

Re: corvette servos
okay so up until now i have just buried my head in the sand as far as automatic transmissions are concerned.
But it seems a bunch of us are all at about that same level and after reading a bunch im really trying to understand this. so the servo is what forces the band to tighten down around the clutch pack, and so as far as i can tell the clutch pack locks the planet carrier to the sun gear, which i can only gather would only engage the tranny in its 1:1 range..... Does the servo just control how much force is applied into the band around the clutch. And could someone please explain better to me where it is that i am not on track. |
