what is going on?
i checked my fuel pressure, and it was 11 psi, with a small leak. i turned my screw in 10 complete rotations to the right on my afpr. checked it again and it was 13 psi. asumed my gauge was broken because it is a cheapo one. switched back to the stock bin that away i wouldent be pig rich, because i thought i raised my fuel pressure. went to autozone to use one of there fuel pressure kits, and sure enough, 13psi. put the bin i had been tuning it with back in the truck because the fuel pressure didint come up much. riding back at about 45 mph in D and my blm's were through the roof. 165-175. i have no clue why or what happend. put in the stock bin and limped back home, with the blm never going above 150. what happend, or is happening. and please remind me why i didint go with a carbuerator
fuel pump is brand new 70 or 90 gallons per hour, i cant remember

well what is your engine combination? is the o2 sensor any good? do you have any exhaust leaks, and does the truck drive ok?. lets start there

comp cams extreme energy 1500-5500 cam. stock vortec heads. summit stage one intake with tbi adaptor. ult tbi mods. ebl computer. truck drives okay on normal driving id say uner 20% throttle. but above that it just pops. no exhaust leaks that i know of. 02 sensor is pretty new, but it was ran with an engine that burned oil really bad for about 4000 miles est. any help appreciated

do the injectors spray normal? you definately want more than 13psi with that combo. i had no idea you had that ammount of mods. what is your injector size set at in the EBL?

i dont know what the inj. size is. right now i am at a friends house. the engine is also a rebuilt 355 with 500 miles on it. i dont know if that makes a difference or not. it is running at what ever the stock tbi camaro's w/ 305. it ran alot better with the camaro 305 bin than with the 350 truck bin. i guess i should put my mods in my sig.

so it has 305 injectors? that my friend is a problem. unless you go with ++pressure.
definately need a fuel pressure increase, but in your bin look for BPC (base pulse constant) or injector size, something along those lines. tell me what it is set at. you can fudge the size to make the injectors put out more. once you do that then do a VE learn, that will get you close. whats your timing table look like? probably want to add about 10 degrees of timing to the stock table, just for starters

i have 350 truck injectors in the tbi. , but i am running a camaro 305 tbi bin, i have messed with the ae table and the prop gains and ve tables, but thats it. my bpc-base pulse filter is 37.65. i am going to go take the inj. part off of the throttle body and check out the afpr. you cant really put one of thoes together wrong can you? i think it is one from xtreme efi, not vac. adjustible
when you say ad 10 deg all i need to do is go into the SA main table and add 10 to each value, or is it more involved than that?

there is something wrong with my afpr.i took it apart today and it looked fine,but i can only get 13 psi out of it.

if it is indeed a stock table then yes you can add 10 degrees to the whole thing. it is far from optimal, but much better. with that cam you will have to have more than double stock
AE. the im talking about the injector Base pulse constant, not the filter. whats the base pulse constant?
is that a stock spring? you sure your turning the adjustment screw the right direction? most are counter clockwise for more pressure, but not all

i have an aftermarket afpr with there spring which is supposally 12-45 psi.
i turn it to the right to drive the screw in, and i want it to go in for more pressure right? but no matter what if i turn it 10 complete rotations any way it should change the fuel pressure, and it dosent. i am going to try to get that rubber piece that the spring tightens today after school. maybe its clogged or something. ill get you the bpc too later

my injector flow scaler is set at 64.9 # per hour.
I think what is wrong is that the little black plastic hose clamps fell off the small rubber hose from the fuel pump to the fuel line inside the tank. Then the extra fuel is just falling out of the hose, into the tank. Thats the only thing i can think of, or its the pump, which i hope its not. ill post up whatever it is.

if your raising the fuel pressure more than about 14psi you would need to set it where its at now. alot of people set the constant lower to get more out of the injectors. but at 12 psi i would lower the constant. im at 24psi and set it at 84 lbs/hr

alright i pulled the bed to get to the fuel pump and the small hose that i thought was loose, wasant. i dont know what to do now. all i can think of is it is either the fuel pump not making enough psi, or the little red rubber, steel peice that the spring in the afpr pushes against. what you you think? idk what to do

strap a pressure guage to the windshield and go for a drive. if the pressure stays solid then it isnt the pump.

my hose isint long enough for it to reach the windshield. but when it is idiling i can stab it and the pressure goes down for a split second of about 2-3 psi and then its right back to 13. could that be it?
i bought the diaphram that the afpr pushes against and i am going to replace it and see what happens
also have you ever heard of a map sensor going bad? the truck was running like crap and it was unplugged but now it still runs like crap, mainly poping after it shifts which is really anoying. and i know it is plugged in. checked for vac. leak and got nothing. i did turn my inj. constant down
