For ****s and Giggles
Hi guys.
What would you guys think this combo would run in the 1/4 Mile?
I am not expecting anything huge but im hoping for a low 14? am i crazy?
-Stock 1994 TBI Short Block, Stock Bore, Honed, re-ring
-Vortec Heads with a bit of porting, nothing crazy.
-Comp Cams Valve Springs
-Comp XE268H
-Professional Products Hurricane Plus
-2" open carb spacer with TBI Adapter attached OR TBI Adapter with a 1" TBI Spacer? Not sure which would be better.
-Holly 670 TBI Unit, Using a Stock GM Injector Pod with Stock 350 Injectors.
-Flex-A-Lite Electric Fan
-Full Length Headers with Dual exhaust
-Stock V6 Torque Convertor.
-3.42 Gears
-Full interior with stereo.
All in this 1994 RCSB. WILL BE RUNNING 15" Rallys with STREET tires.

im hoping for anywheres in 14's lol but my goal is low 14. i know if i went Posi with like 3.73 or 4.11's it would help alot.

I would be suprised if you make 14s. I would say low 15s at best but I could be off.

Thats close to what my truck is minus the cam and just a stock tbi and my best time so far is a 9.8 in the 1/8th and thats spinning pretty bad. Im also a 5 speed though. So I say high 14s if you hook and if you change your gear I think you could maybe hit mid 14s but thats just a guess.

well that motor would be very close to the output of mine and his truck is 1000lbs lighter than mine. i run a 16.02 in the quarter with my mud terrains, with my 28" tires i could have dropped 2 tenths, so say im capable of a 15.8 then if you figure in the weight difference -100lbs = 1 tenth and hes 1000lbs lighter that puts him at a 14.8 this is how i came to my conclusion.

high 14s. think about it, a basically stock RCSB with the 350vortec and minor boltons(exh,cai,tune,tires) is capable of high 14s. why wouldnt his truck be?

gears would do you a surprising amount of good. I have 3.42's and they're dogs off the line
