Thanks for clearing up the mystery.

It was posted that modern fuel injection will improve horsepower.
I think EFI isn't going to improve power.

Here's a Nelson's engine in a car that hooks. Does a 5.21 in the 1/8 mile, which is about a 8.2 in the quarter.

Not that it matters and is off topic, that car spun on both launches a little. On the second pass, it was very loose at the end.

Re: V6 dyno results

Why is that thing making peak horsepower at 3600 RPM's? You should have more power up around 4700 - 5000 shouldn't you?

Yeah, ya know, when I buy my next new Chevy I'll step up. This is what I could afford when I bought it new and I needed reliability and economy.

I say roll with what you got. If you want to swap, do it. If you want to squeeze more HP's out of the 262, do it. My goals aren't as lofty as his. I don't plan on spending a ton of money, and with bolt ons I should be able to put 210 - 225 to the ground. Just making the DD more fun, and it is a true daily driver and my only driver, so I don't see improving it as pointless. If I feel frisky later on down the line and want some more power I can throw a cam in there.

I dont understand "build it the way you did". You supposedly dont know my motor. And I haven't made any stance changes to the truck, so I dont get that either

explain?

If your motor is stock, then I doubt it makes 325HP.

Re: V6 dyno results

For further reference, when I talk about a 6L, I am referring to a GEN III. Not a GEN I with a similar displacement.

Well then, being at a halfway point of 650HP, isn't immpressive since you already bolted another motor in it.

hmmm. OK? My point wasn't literal guy. You being halfway to 260 isn't impressive...because even 260 isnt impressive. Your halfway comment had no value, which was my point.

A stock V6 with nearlly 16 year old computer technology on top of it ( actually nearlly 23 year old technology for FSC). The cam on these trucks are also very small. According to TBI Chips, duration at .050 is 179/194 and max lift is .350/.384 and the valve springs aren't good past 4500RPM.
