Re: whats the cost
If you can find a donor truck preferably a 4x4 manual transmission or its gonna be a big hassle bolting up the t-case to the transmission(which will require t-case adapter and output shaft). you will need 4x4 transmission(with bellhousing/shifter/boot), flywheel, clutch, clutch pedal and brake pedals. clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder. computer/chip for manual transmission and transmission wiring harness. Might also need the crossmember and driveshafts.

Re: whats the cost
yea go to the junkyard. its actually not that bad. i have a 4x4 5 speed now, and the pedal assembly for the clutch bolts to the firewall on its own. it doesnt have anything to do with the brake pedal assembly you just need to get the skinny brake pedal. if i were you id:
buy tranny from www.car-parts.com ($200-$800 depending on miles) new slave cyl from napa- ($80) new master cyl from napa- ($60) pedal assembly and brake from www.car-parts.com ($100 at max) then go to the local dealer and get the hydraulic line from the mater cylinder to slave cylinder maybe $50 bucks the master cylinder comes with a new rod and bushing to connect the clutch pedal. ask me how i know? i just replaced everything in my system. and not to forget, id probably put a new clutch in as well. clutch kit is $250

Re: whats the cost
just try to find one with low miles and make sure it has little to no play in the shifter. like put it in a gear. and try to wiggle the shifter. and if it feels loose dont buy it. my 3rd gear has the most play and its at 180k. but its still not too bad. some of the nv3500 had problems with the 1-2 sync so see how easy it goes into 2nd too. and make sure you put new slave and master cylinder on, new line and clutch. because that automatically eliminates any hydraulic problems and you dont want to be pullin it out replacing this stuff. i put a clutch in mine and figured the slave cylinder would be ok. yea it was ok for another 1000 miles. then i had to pull it again.
