TRG-4L60E from TransGo
how does the transgo shift kit feel? i dont want neck breaking shifts in my daily driver. but would like a little more firm shifts through normal driving and crisp shifts at WOT.

i just got a nelson tune and they increased the line pressure some.

It will probably be too harsh of a shift if line pressure was raised.

Re: TRG-4L60E from TransGo
When I installed my transgo hd2 shift kit I had to lower line pressure back to stock otherwise the shifts were too harsh below half throttle. chirped the tires on the 1-2 shift easily everytime at part throttle. It was very hard on the transmission. found out at 43000 miles when I broke the sunshell.
the only transmission parameters I changed was raised shift points. adjusted line pressure back to stock levels and adjusted torque management to tame it a little. After I made the adjustments The transmission shifting was perfect, quick/crisp and firm shifting. But it still was hard on the transmission at WOT. I still could chirp the tires on the 1-2 shift at WOT, which was fine for me. If the kit comes with spacers for the accumulator housing I recommend you dont install them since you have the tune already. I installed one. Its all gonna depend on what you want your shifts to be and what you want to change in the tune.

Re: TRG-4L60E from TransGo
Last week I put the stock tune back in to get my truck smogged.
The transmission shifted smooth almost like stock but a lot quicker. If I babied the throttle I probably wouldnt have felt it. But when I got on it(more then 3/4-WOT) it was quick/smooth and crisp with a little firmness. It makes a difference in the tune, thats for sure especially the shift points and torque management.

Re: TRG-4L60E from TransGo
There is a TransGo 4L60E Shift kit and the Performance Shift kit. The Performance Shift kit is the one you want. I carry the modified version along with the Corvette servo. It comes with new accumulator pistons, hardened accumulator pins, oem pin, all necessary seals, Torlon checkballs, etc. I set these kits up to shift smooth at part throttle, and the shifts getting firmer with more throttle. This will give you the best chance at a long tranmission life. Let the accumulation set the firmness. Leave the firmness tables in the computer at zero. Let me know if I can be of help? Dana
