tcc lock up
my tcc locks up at 55 i would like it at 45. is there a programer that can ajust the tcc lockup, it is a 97 gmc k1500 with 256 75 16s and was wanting to go to 33 1250s because it has a 3"body lift. also i just got it rebuilt w/ hd parts

your gonna need a custom tune.
O2 GMC RCSB 4.8L V8 AUTO 3.73's
rebuilt/beefed up 4L60E(at 43,000miles)

i did the switch in my old truck it wasnt bad. you can lock it when you want it to or keep the switch off and let it lock on its own. idk what i was thinking. your truck is older so you cant get a tune or programmer. you might have to have to get the tranny adjusted for it. maybe a little higher stall tc

why would i need a higher stall? i just want my lock up to come down from 55 to 45 in o/d because i plan on bigger tires and the spedo will be off a little and i will have to speed to lock it up

lol no its a 97 k1500, not the camo one that ones an 85

it is for a 1997 gmc sierra k1500 w/4l60e

oh my bad. it says its a transmission component slipping. check the fluid. i have all data and looked it up for a 97. ill send the link as a message

i got that fixed i got the trans rebuilt due to p 1870 and now i want my tcc l/u changed to 45 from 55 hope fully that clarifys it sorry for not being so clear

oh ok i thought it was still throwin it. yea your gonna have to get a tuner to do it for you. www.wait4meperformance.com talk to jesse he will take care of you. i think its about $75 for a tune and you can get all of torque management taken out since the trans is done. hope this helps
