Just got done readin this whole thing. Got to give you Props, you have done a great job! It may have taken you longer than most people would like but there is something to be said when it's YOU that has done all the work. P.S. you will need to get "stated value" insurance. You would'nt want an uninsured or underinsured or in my case an Illegal Mexican too hit that thing and your ins. co. try to total it out. Again great job you should be proud. PSS my vote was for the BONSPEEDS.

haha good question! Um got the truck for $3200, the engine and trans for $1500 + probably another $1000 at least for extras for it + tons of misc junk I used + tons of other stuff I cant remember right now + ALOT OF LABOR!= Hopefully a sweet reliable ride that turns heads. ;-)

Thanks man, I am going to get special insurance on it cause I will drive this this several days a week and not be a trailer queen! Its getting so close its killin me not to be driving it right now! Maybe all the work is worth it in the end. And I still love the Bonspeeds but they are pricey and might not be a good idea for a daily driver so ill probably go with the Coys in my sig.I will go with 20"x8.5 in front and a 20"x10 out back with about a 315/40/20 rubber or thereabout.

Re: The Teardown And Rebuild! Pics Inside!
Hey guys, I havent been workin too much on the truck lately due to us finding out my dad has kidney cancer. He is scheduled to have his kidney, adrinal gland, and the mass taken out tomorrow at St.Thomas hospital. Then they will start him on some biological meds. So work is gonna be kinda slow here for the next little bit. I did manage to get a radiator support made. Still needs a little cleanup but I made it out of stainless and gonna polish it later.

Also got the carpet in and seats bolted down and hooked up. Now time to finish up dash wiring and get all my trim smoothed and painted!

Thanks, he is back home and doing ok, just having trouble keeping his meals down. I havent made much progress since except for installing my billet steering wheel. I did pick up another LT1 though. I only gave $250 for it, wiring harness, and computer! Its going in my 87 RX7 and going to be a street legal drag car. I will rebuild the engine and do some performance stuff and use a TH350 trans I have laying around here. Already have the car gutted and the V8 swap mounts installed in it. Anyways, I need to get back on my truck and finish it up so I can enjoy it buts its getting pretty cold here and our shop doesnt have heat. Ill keep yall posted as things get done.

Re: The Teardown And Rebuild! Pics Inside!
Sick truck. Very impressed. I don't mean to jack this thread but I'm doing a very similar swap. Mine is going into an '92 ecsb with a 5 speed. I have a couple of quick questions. What did you do for the radiator? Did you use one from a Camaro? Did you ever find out who made the A/C bracket? How hard was it to intergrate the engine harness to the factory truck harness? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

YO! The truck is off the chain. Sauce! Cherry!
Hey Every Thanksgiving Weekend I have family at the house and so with all these strong men and women I ALWAYS have a truck project scheduled. Last year was a 6" SkyJacker lift with all new SkyJacker Shock, Front Stabilizer and Pitman arm. This year tear down the 350 and make it into a Stroker 383 baby! Have a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the inspiration.

Re: The Teardown And Rebuild! Pics Inside!
Hey guys, I decided to go ahead and dye my dash and trim pieces black since its too cold for me to paint my other one since we have no heat in the shop.:-( So I dyed it and started on the door panels too. They actually turned out pretty good and I love the way it looks with my carpet. Now time to finish up the gauge wiring and put it back together! Here are a few pics so far.

The radio section and the trim around the cluster is already smoothed and painted gloss black.

The white plastic is to keep my new carpet from getting dirty. haha
