Fullsize going under the knife...again
Well the 07 season is over so its time to start working again. Here are the plans as of now:
Suicide doors, 2.5" channel (5 1/4" total body drop), grant cali combo skin, shave tail lights, shave third brake light, shave gutters, shave gas door, sheet metal bed, sierra front clip with stock hood modified to fit, narrow rear axle, sheetmetal dash, HOK paint (might be base coat for next year to save up for this), 22's or 24's or maybe 22/24's, clean up frame, re wire so its nice and neat, get rid of anything i do not need under the hood so its nice and clean, Fill all the holes in my firewall so its not 152 degrees in the cab anymore.

Heres a few pics from tonites progress:

It's pretty bright in there. I just hung the dry wall, insulated, garage floor coating ****, and heated it in march. I've got 13 48" dual lights in there. The garage is about 26' x 26'

I'll post pics as things progress.

Any reason to step up on the bodydrop? The way the nbs trucks run, I never really saw an advantage to go to the door.

The rockers are so damn big on these trucks and they slant in so it does not look body dropped anymore to me lol. Im keeping a little bit of rocker so i can open my doors layed out but i just want it to lay hard. Also i want the back of the truck to lay out because the roll pan is about 2 or 3 inches off the ground now

Body dropped to the doors is just that much more work but it is also that much more fuggin sic, IMO.

Your truck looked good before the surgery so I can't wait to see the progress

Yeah, I guess. I mean I don't wanna deal with the other problems related to laying door, like fabbing up new fender mounts, bed mounts, and all that stuff. Plus I'm in AZ and air isn't an option, so for me, that takes priority.

Here are pics of all 4 wheels. Front left looks like it was drove on a flat and kind of scraped up the top of the rim. It didnt bother me. I've had these for 2 show seasons now. The back left rim has one spot about the size of a dime that the chrome chipped. Left sides are great! Enjoy!

So why does az and air not mix? I know 2 guys not with nbs tho that were doored and they both hated it cause most of the time they couldn't open there doors layed out. It looks sick as hell but i see where kevin is coming from.

I think what he was trying to say was that since we live in Arizona the A/C is not an option it is a necesity. Whe it is 110+ outside for a few weeks straight you are nuts to drive a truck without A/C.

I was listening to Sirius the other day and they mentioned that Nashville was on their 3rd straight day of 100+ weather. All I could think of was "damn, I hope it gets that low here soon".

I don't debate that the humidity sucks and I would take the dry heat over humidity any day. But right now it is monsoon season in Phoenix so we get the heat and humidity to boot.
