Re: Chevelle tear down + rebuild!!
Finally got some time to work on it again!
Friday after work:
Sunday afternoon:
Got all of the front suspension off, brake lines and fuel lines as well. The frame is now completely stripped and ready for the next stage!

Re: Chevelle tear down + rebuild!!
I haven't checked in on the progress in a while, glad to see that it's one step closer to greatness once again
What's your plans for the frame?

I was originally planning on sand blasting + painting it my self but that would take alot of time that I dont have. A local buddy on the Chevelle forum recommended a shop that did hid frame so I called them up. Long story short, they are going to sandblast and powder coat the frame for alot cheaper than I thought.

I would say go with a quick sanding, de-greasing, then a nice coat of POR-15...but you can't pass up a good deal on professional work.
I just got a sandblaster up at my shop the other day. I'm trying to figure out what truck gets taken apart first and blasted

I need to get the trailer and get it to the shop. They said it would be about a months turn around time at the most.

Re: Chevelle tear down + rebuild!!
I think this is the only thread with the most posts for the least progress :P
I got the rear cross member straighed up after. The neighbour ordered all brand new glass for the car but no of it fit. So were waiting on new glass to go any further. then its on to the interior and fishing touches.

Jason, I apologize for not subscribing to this before. I can't wait for the next updates. Having that frame all shiny and black is gonna be a NICE feeling!

Thats because half of the posts are people harassing me.
Glad you got that straightened out. Where did you get the glass from?

I can't believe it took me 2 years to find this thread. At least now I'll be able to follow the rest of the build.
