Re: Boz's Nbs Ecsb Frame Laying Build
Are you talking about height or width of the cap. I trimmed the ends some to get it to sit down on the side plate! I left it tall because we may go to a 22 at some point. I really don't think it is much over notched anyway. We also drilled a hole and welded a nut on the inside of the bottom cap to be able to run a bump stop! When you dump it its about 3 inches from the notch and we are just now raising the tank. As far as width of the top plate I would let it over hang the side about 1/4 inch to give you something to weld to. I didn't do that on the top plate but did on the bottom.

Hope this helps let me know if I can help on anything else.

Re: Boz's Nbs Ecsb Frame Laying Build
We had a pretty good weekend of workin on the truck!

We wanted to tie the notch together before we cut out the crossmembers.

Preping to mount the tanks.

We cut a single set of bracket like a few before us. Those brackets are major overkill!

We cut the cab to roll it under for a little more tank clearance!

Starting to raise the tank.

Cleaned up the frame where the rear tank mount was!

Re: Boz's Nbs Ecsb Frame Laying Build
I did trim that down flush but if I had it to do over I would leave about 1/4 inch on each side just to give you more to weld to.

The bars on the notch I had made at the local race car chassis shop.

Now its time for check valves and lots of plumbing. Have any of you had problems with the water seperator that comes with the Airlift EDC?

Re: Boz's Nbs Ecsb Frame Laying Build
making a little more progress!

Here's the tanks with some cool drain valves. They have cables that will be routed to the rear you will just pull each cable to drain each tank!

here's the engine driven mounted

Here's how tight the pulley is to the ecm computer even after we moved it forward an inch.

Got a little plumbing done for the rear! We are gonna redo the inputs to the valves the lines are so short we will probably use a braided hose!

We are going to the world of wheels today so no more progress this weekend!

Re: Boz's Nbs Ecsb Frame Laying Build
Well here is the final design of the Edc plumbing with the Square D pressure switch/unloader. We eliminated several pieces and did a little tap work!

Mounted to the passenger side firewall.

Here's a few pics for those that say we are crazy over notched! Keep in mind we are only on a 20 for now.
