Retro Resurrection GMC
well i sold the nissan a few months back at the begin of the year. been tossing around new ideas and then landed on my dads old gmc. Its a 1976 GMC he bought new in 76. Plans started out as a sfbd to the rockers but tearing into it i decided to go all out and do a little more. the floor is rusted some and had some ghetto patches done sometime in its life of close to 800k miles on the body and frame. So plans include a 2" sfbd and a sheetmetal cab floor. custom flat rockers prob around an inch from door. set up for 22s i think. i think im gonna rebuild the 350 in it for now but debating building a 327 we have too. heres what i got in 2 days of work over spring break.

the nasty floor.. i never want to see spray foam again in my life haha

4 link from haggard

not gonna have much for updates till i get back from college in the start of may but i might be home a few weekends to mess with it.

Re: Retro Resurrection GMC
been messin with it a lil since im back home now and about ready to tear into it big. one manifold bolt is bein a bitch but im hopin to get that and finish pullin the motor today since thats the only thing left on the frame. Trying to find the best price for metal still and order my 2x3 soon and i need to go buy a new chop saw since my brother killed mine. im hoping to have the sfbd going in the next week or two tho.

I also found some old pics of the truck i need to scan from when my dad was driving it like 20 to 30 years ago.

Re: Retro Resurrection GMC
I'd be awesome if you restored the body to look how it did in that picture. Seeing how your dad bought it new it'd be a cool way to mix the history in with your style.

Looks like a pretty interesting project. That floor looks pretty gnarly. Good luck with it though, subscribed.
