Overnotching is a bad thing, lift the front and the rear will go deep in the notch and your rear rockers are gone, as are mine, and I am only notched about 3/4"-1" over.

Re: started bagging my silverado-pics inside
the problem with notches are when people buy them they are buying the " monster notch" so they assume that they need that big 8", 10", 12" notch. Thats why I liked the round notche's atleast they never gave the excessive look to them. truck is coming along btw keep it up

Just do a little re-search next time and you wouldn't have any big problems...

yes your notch will lay a 36" tall tire hahah
and yes you need front and back crossmembers on that front crossmember that the bars mount to or the bars will push and pull it through travel and tear it apart

Re: started bagging my silverado-pics inside
For sure need to brace that hoop, especially with that wishbone tied to it.When you get on it from a stop the torque from that rearend is going to try to yank that thing off. That hoop has a lot of room to bend\break.Bumpstops would be a good idea too, unless you're planning on baja racing that thing, then,by all means get as much travel as you can. That things lookin sick though,Can't wait to see it with all the claddings mounted.By the way,did you freakin rob your local Cadillac dealers' warehouse?I hope they named a wing of that dealership after you.You must have funded some college tuition buying parts there

Not to be mean, but you might want to redo the bodywork around the lights. Doesn't look too great. The rest of the truck looks awesome though.

Re: started bagging my silverado-pics inside
Quick question. Are your top mounts welded to the frame with the gussets welded on top? What do you plan on welding th gussets to in order to keep the brackets from bending up. here you go a nice picture of what a poorly gusseted bracket will do
