1989 stepside rebuild *better , smaller pics*
G'day , i thought id post my small project up on FSC.1989 chevy step side 1/2 ton 4x4.

This is what the truck forst looked like when i first got it in november

This is what the frame looked like after cutting it , its was really rusty and there was a few cracks in teh baack part that is cut off.

This was the ol' greasy gas tank looked like (real rusty , sending unit was all brittle)
[IMG][/IMG]

Took inner fenders and outter fenders off for brand new inner and outter fenders.
[IMG][/IMG]

The box rails where all rotted so i tore them off and got new ones made.
[IMG][/IMG]

Now i started putting it back together slowly , so i started with new plugs , plug wires , distibutor rotor and distributor cap.

Now i got into the bigger stuff, frame repair , brand new gas tank , sending unit and fuel pump, New KYB shocks , and i installed my homemade blocks with new u-bolts. I also painted the frame and diff.

painted the part behind the grill

this is all i have for now. I've done a lot more to the truck like changing all u-joint , new pittman arm cleaning , and other small things here and there.Next step is doing a bit of body work on cab corners, installing front shocks , putting fenders back on, installing 3" body lift and RC levelling kit. And I also Have more work to do on the box.

6-"RC suspension lift
-3"body lift

I'm Canadian, there's no doot aboot it!!!
