79 K10 4x4 build

Well i started this projet quite some time ago i posted it in the classic and quit positng for a while so here we go. Heres what it looked like when i picked he up.

Well i started tearing it down asap. Heres my 350 with the kick azz fuel filter. Witch is going to be replaced.

Well i have her torn down to the frame at the moment. I am going to be cleaning up the frame. Putting her back to gether with a rebuilt motor and tranny. Doing body work. Painting her canary yellow limo tint on windows. Maybe beadlocker rims the black ones with the gold beads, and 33s for now. Flowmaster exhaust dont no what type yet. And cant decside between chrome bumpers or the tubed ones and drop a wench in there and make her look tuff as hell

I had to cut holes in my floor to get the cab off cause the bolts kept spinning in there.

How the frame sits today will be painted when new bushings are bought and pressed in leaf and shackes, sway bar.

easy there killer.

from experience, get yourself a concrete plan, and stick to it. if the plan is a 6" lift on stock axles, dont change from that. i fell into that trap twice now. start building a truck with the intention on putting 3/4 tons under it, then a smokin deal for a 60 comes along, and all hell breaks loose. a little late for this now, but tearing the entire truck down is not such a good idea right off the bat. i've seen too many guys get that far in, lose sight of the finished product, which makes the whole process seem VERY overwhelming. lots of guys get this far, and the truck leaves the garage in pieces. i'm guilty of this too.

since you are in this far already, make yourself a checklist of things to accomplish, and finish one before starting on another. finishing the smaller jobs will give you a sense of accomplishment, and help keep the ball rolling.

keep on it man, and dont lose your focus!

The 6 inch lift wont be for a 1 or 2 or 3 casue i no i need axles and what not

Its nice to have friends that no people. My brackets lesfs crossmembers etc got wheelabrade. Kinda like beed blasted. Also pict taken 5 min ago

well my crossmembers are ok i think but all my rear leaf spring hangers and backing plates are shot

where did you get new spring hangers i have found them all over but i dont know the best place to get them

I didnt get new hangers I just go mine wheelabraded. Sorry bro the only thing I need to get is a eather i fab up some thing for my crossmenber or i see if I can buy it.
