I cant wait to line-x my Go-Rhino steps now!

+1, bends on mine don't look like that.

I also noticed those NFabs have closed ends, min are open ended. Are they NFab rip-offs?

Ah..ok missed that. They're left open on purpose though, so the inside of the tubing can dry, helps to dissipate any moisture.

yeah it also helps rust them from the inside out so one day you can step on it and watch the welds break.

I was just gonna say that. unless you somehow COMPLETELY seal em off, you might be good. but moisture is a tricky SOB

I dissagree. They should be left open, so they air dry faster. Even when they are sealed they will get moisture in them, and they'll stay moist which is bad.

I should've left the bottom of the slash cut fangs on my gg open.

thats what he is saying I believe, that if they are welded shut, the water trapped inside helps start rust and they will eventually rust from the inside going outwards... it speeds up the rusting process.

im well aware of how moisture works...this isnt my first rodeo. thats why i drilled 1/4 drain holes in the bottoms at each end and have rubber plugs for them. ill leave them open in the summer, and plug them in the winter. there is no reason to leave the ends WIDE open like N-Fab does. it leaves the entire interior of the tube exposed, uncoated, and unprotected. plus, they fill up with mud fast. my Go Rhinos were the same way. this is the last set of Nerf's i buy from any company...IMO all mass marketed bars are crap for what they cost. ill be building the next set.

as for the bends.... i couldnt tell you, you'd have to ask them!?! id bet they are outsourcing them...

well damn son, im about 15 miles off of 71, if you all dont mind, when you go wheelin, you mind if i come too? and by the way, this new project is lookings great. and i too say to put black flares on it instead of the color matched ones. the black grill looks good. once the front bumper and the N-fabs are put on, it will look killer. i say, expecially how winters can be up here, to Linex the rockers from the body line down, IMO it matches and looks tough, would totally match the project. i found some stuff at walmart the other day that is the knock off brand, but for $42 a gallon.. thinkin about doing the floors of my cab and bed with it... and the bullet door handles will look sick you still have them!

Re: Project: Sub Urban Assult v2
well, its been a long morning! I got up early and gave the truck a MAJOR chassis bath. While the underside was drying i installed the black billet gas door. I kind of expected this to be a cheap-o tunerish part, but much to my surprise its very well made and installed flawlessly! Sure, it wasnt the cheapest gas door out there, but still i was pleasently surprised! I got the N-Fabs on with very few issues. the drivers side is cake, but the rear A/C lines make the passengers side a tad tricky. the bars and bolts clear all the lines, but you have to be VERY careful you dont drill into or hang up on them during install. From there i moved on to the front bumper. WARNING: this is a 3 person job!!! nevermind the stupid bumper weight 300lbs, but getting it in place with 1 person and 2 floor jacks is insanity. its still not perfectly level...or even close. Not a big deal, cause the bumper will have to come off again when my 16t winch arrives. Ill make sure i have appropriate manpower on hand then.

This weekends project: roof rack and lighting (and looooots of it)

man that burb is sick!!! and yeah, I will definatly shoot down there in Sept, I am gonna be hunting this year for the first time, so I need to pick up some sorta shotgun for it, I am goin duck hunting and deer huntin, but aint lookin to spend that much either. and are the Nfabs supposed to stick down that far??? and be VERY careful in the winter with that billet gas door. make sure it is ALWAYS clean or it will start to pit. Trust me I know this because I sell them all the time and here that from customers.
