Re: made front sas bracket today
good idea using the allthread to keep the ends lined up. are you going to add braces to keep if from ripping away from the frame?

i still have to mount the springs and box in the open areas so no flex, i dont trust the front frame on the obs, its not made to support any type of load. im going to weld it to the frame and then gusset it all around.

right on. i really like the way my ORU brackets wrap around the sides, and then bolt to the sides of the frame. might be a good way to go. its better to overbuild than to underbuild.

Re: made front sas bracket today
Very nice , I also like the allthread idea , I used the same method when I built mine for my S-10 SAS.

Nice welds and fab work.

i used a similar idea when i installed my shackle hangers, i took a piece of 2 x 2 tube, drilled 9/16" holes in each end, installed one in the front cross, and one in the shackle hanger. then i just positioned the shackle hanger vertically on the frame, leveled it up and marked where it went.

Re: made front sas bracket today
Nice work you want to make another one? 1st in line. f you make some nice rear shackles you should sell a couple of kits to offset the cost and bring in some extra cash. Or just sell the kits as a weld together DIY kit. Just be sure to tell everyone what type of metal and thickness. Keep it in mind if you want to sell one. I'm interested. How much lift will these give you?
