Re: 2000 NBS Tahoe Build..Clean and Simple
That's good news. Exactly what I was wanting to hear before I drop that kind of cash on a set of wheels and tires. I appreciate the info man. I was looking at possibly getting Toyo's or Nitto's. It looks like you have been happy with the Nitto's. Now I just need to decide what tires to go with and get some stuff ordered. I plan to keep up on your Tahoe project man. So....how did that 6L swap turn out? Looks like you started on that about a month ago so at the rate you work I'm guessing it's done and has all the bugs worked out by now?

Go with the Nittos..they are badass tires, ride smooth..i have probably 6k on them and them look brand new...
the 6L is doin good..still a few little things here and there but its basically all finished..gets better gas milage then the 5.3 did

lol ya not mine..but i take it uve never ridden in one..the thing stops on a dime, handles better then any car in its class, and is still quick as ****..all for the fraction of the cost of a bmw or such ( which it beats in most categories)

Re: 2000 NBS Tahoe Build..Clean and Simple
I'm surprised to hear that the 6.0L gets better gas mileage than the 5.3L. That's cool though, you got more power and better gas mileage.
Ok, I've got to admit I've had/have some imports (Acura's and Honda's) mixed in with my GM products myself. He's right, they stop on a dime and handle like a gokart (since they pretty much are a gokart).

Tahoe would average about 270 miles a tank on city driving, 320 on highway..i can pull 310 city 370 highway..plus more power then before..
the huge difference is that it doesnt downshift anymore on the highway, more power to get it movin in the city etc..plus i drive it harder now since it sounds better with the 6.0 lol
and you gotta remember the truck is almost 6k lbs, then u figure in the heavy ass rolling weight of the wheels, plus 250 lbs of audio/batteries..
