Custom Frame Constrution... Show Only Or Work Horse Ability?
With the expection of my "avalanche" project i posted in here a few months ago, and the odd post or thread in some of the other forums, i have pretty much reserved my self to creeping in the shadows and drooling over the skill and ideas of great people like your self in this fourm...

With the recent postings of poopskidz truck and his plans to drop it bag it and build a new frame for it (unless i misread some thing) to the absoutly stunning work of kruznlow69 i have become interested in custom frame constrution.

Now i am not a show guy, although i can appreacite a truck done for those purposes and dragging with the whole air bags set up and 4 link suspension... i don't have the slightest understanding of it... but i can appreacite the work and skill that goes into them.

I am more of a, toss a round bale in the box, fill it up with black dirt/gravel, bury it past the rockers type guys, but i do like it to look nice and done right (depsite my avalanche project )

now that i have bored you good people, here is what i want to ask...

With the same material (rectangle tubing is what i refer to it as) that kruznlow69 is using, could a frame for a "work" truck be built and surpass the strength and qaulity of that of a stock stock 1 ton frame, or is it better off sticking to the stock frame and working with it.

On top of that, could some one kindly point out or point me in the direction of a website/forum/thread that would explain to me the theroy of extending a frame and what it takes? simple as cutting straight and cutting section out/adding section in, and making sure your weld it right?
