Re: Kirk's truck
Pics are uploading to photobucket now. I got my uncle to help me with the diff, since my wrist is fugged up, so I had to wait for him to get home. But I got a little bit done.

Re: Kirk's truck
I'll be watching this closely, I was thinking about going cheap with a Rough Country lift. I've heard a lot of negative things about them, but we'll see how your experience is.

Re: Kirk's truck
What good things about the obs lift have you hear, beside its a 4 inch drop with new keys which are basically ford keys, correct?

Re: Kirk's truck
Update:
I didn't really get a chance to do much tonight, but I got the mount cut off the front diff, ground the cooling fins down a little to clear the frame, and got the diff in it. That's about all I had time for tonight. But it looks like the hard part is over. Everything else should be easy, and I'll get my tires swapped over to the aluminum wheels ASAP. If everything goes as planned, I'll be driving it this weekend.
I'll get pics tomorrow, had to give the camera back today, but I'm getting it back tomorrow.

I've heard their new knuckle kit is solid; check out SilveradoLQ9, he is running one on his black NBS out on the dunes, it takes quite a bit of beating and he says it's held up without issues so far. Here's the thread;

Re: Kirk's truck
Pics are uploading now. In a few minutes, I'm gonna eat, then go work on it some more.
I had to take the diff back out, to grind down the cooling fins a little more so I could tighten everything down. But I got it back in, both crossmembers back in (took the front crossmember out to get the diff out easier) and both LCA's on. Now I've gotta tighten all the crossmember and diff mounts, put the knuckles on, tighten the LCA's, and drop the torsion bar crossmember (I'll do that tomorrow when it's light outside since I have to drill holes in the frame).
And so far, I'm impressed with this lift kit. This is the first kit I've ever installed/helped install that everything lined up like it's supposed to. And the installation has been pretty easy, I just haven't had much time to work on it.
