Sorry for the length, guys. When the next thing gets done to it, I'll add a table of contents to the first post.
That should probably a sign of something.

You should just get this thread moved to the clowning around section and start a real build thread.

Re: Grant's build thread
Alright guys, I'm doing some actual work on the truck today.
Replacing water pump gaskets. I had you excited a lil bit there, aye? For some reason, they started leaking about a month ago, and got so bad that it leaked about a gallon of coolant out on the way back to Tuscaloosa last weekend (65 miles). The thing is, I replaced the pump a couple years ago and did everything thoroughly. I used new gaskets and put a thin coating of rtv on both sides. I made sure the bolts were tight. My only guess is that the bolts somehow loosened up a bit and then the gaskets blew. Anyway, I'm about to find out after I enjoy these delicious waffles.
Also, I bought another tool.
Yes, I got it at Wal-Mart, and yes, it was cheap ($30). It's kind of like the welding helmet though. It'll get me by for now until I can afford something better.
I'll get some more pics up when I do the gaskets and find out what caused it. Also, I've decided that once I actually start on the suspension stuff, I'll make a new build thread.

Re: Grant's build thread
a new thread? why? might as well carry this one until you are done. better than doing this all over again. after all this is in the projects section. i used to have a grinder like that one. worked very well for longer than i expected. just dont labor it to much or the brushes will give out.
