truck is looking good. need some action pics.
you still have a spare 454 TBI set up you need rid of?

who knows, i may start with a stock housing, if i cant find one cheap enough, i may break down and buy a RockJock centersection. i guess time will tell.
as for the BBC TBI setup, i may, if my 87 small block harness will adapt to the dash harness from the 90 pretty easily. i've thought about just pulling the motor and trans out of the truck and selling it to my buddy (who sold it to the guy i bought it from ). either way, i'll at least have an extra BBC TB. i know you mentioned looking for one back when i was working on the garage and saw the shelf labeled 454 TBI, so i'll definitely keep you in mind when that stuff starts coming off of the 90. if the dash harness isnt nearly plug and play, there are a bunch of 87 SBC TBI trucks at the local Pick N Pull with complete dashes, i'll just scab one from one of them.

thinking about scabbing the missing/broken pieces of the front end from a Burb at Pick N Pull and swapping the '80's stock front clip to one like the '90. planning on doing a step by step writeup for the classic section when i do. wont be a pretty setup at all, because it will be completely out of junkyard parts, and aesthetics arent a huge concern since its just a work truck, but it'll give you guys an idea of what it takes to do it.

I hate the way they tried to make the OOBS look like OBS, I prefer the 87 and older look myself.

Re: the long awaited build thread for my 93...
I love the 98-91 OOBS front ends... exspecially the GMC front end!. The core supports are totally different then 88 OOBS and back.

3" brackets in the front, 4" springs. rear is 4" shackle flip with 3" springs. probably going to end up with an EZ Inch front and rear.

Re: the long awaited build thread for my 93...
Velcro motor mounts are on the drawing board.
of the trucks that i am keeping... the 77, 80, 93 and 94.
my 80 is getting the 350 from my 92, and the TBI system i have in the garage.
the 93 is getting the 454 from the 90, and the 94 454 TBI stuff that i saved off of the white truck.
and the 94 already has the motor from the 93 in it.
i have to pull the intake and see if the block out of the 94 is a roller block or not. if it is, its probably getting a mild rebuild, along with the 60e that came out of the 94, and the original wiring harenss out of the 93. the idea is 4.10 gears + OD + 33" tires + torquey 350 (maybe a 383) = nice driver.

I'm starting to think my 6" brackets and 6" springs are going to be too much. Where in IN do you live? I have a chip burner for TBI trucks.....I'd trade you even up chips for random parts....

i'm in Elkhart, just east of South Bend on 80/90. i've already got a burner, just not enough time to use it yet. my 94 needs a tune in a BAD way.
what size tires are you planning on running? i'm not real sure my 7" and 37"s are going to play nice together. started out with a set of Sky brackets, and 4" springs for the front, which would've been 10" and no problem.

first modification to it after i caught it on fire was to scraped off the Mr Horsepower sticker that was previously in the back window on the passenger side and replace it with this...

then i cut out the front suspension... 2 years later, i still havent bought a new alternator, which is what caused the fire to being with.

Why do you need a '77-'79 D60? If all you are going to use is the reverse cut housing get a late model Ford D60. They are probably going to be cheaper. If you plan on using the factory shafts, I am doing this with my driver drop 10bolt, you will need a '77-'79 for the correct length tubes. Although, if you could find some seals to work without machining the inside of the tube you could just get some 3 1/2x 1/2" DOM and re-tube it however wide you want/need. OR, you could press the short tube out, get some 3 1/2x 1/2" DOM and re-tube the driver side (the new long side), then grind the passenger C off and cut the long tube down to length for you to use the factory short shaft. Then, you will need to address the spring pad, it will be on the opposite side of the center section... Just some of the many thoughts when retubing an axle.
[/Hijack]
Jeremy, the truck looks one hundred times better with the new grill and headlights.
