Hey guys, here is what I have been up to:
I originally purchased the truck in the spring of 2002. It was a Georgia truck and completely spotless except for the factory silver paint that was falling off. I drove it until August when I decided that I would start removing what was left of the truck's paint and repaint it myself. Well, that was overly ambitious on my part being only 17 at the time. So, it sat and then it sat some more in it's halfway taken apart state. Long story short: life and lack of interest and motivation got in the way. I finally started working on it again this past August.
What I've got so far:
1991 Chevy C1500 Silverado Regular Cab Stepside.
5.7L with a K&N replacement filter, plug wires, B&M shift kit, Hedmann
440's ceramic coated flat white into 2.5" 18" glasspacks with 3" turndowns
Belltech 2" Lowering spindles
3" 'djm' springs that had to be cut down so that the coil ends would line up in the pockets correctly- now it is about a 6" drop in front
Summit Sport truck shocks in front
Custom made flip kit- custom plates, spring perches from o'really's, u-bolts I had from another project
Belltech 2" shackles
Belltech rear swaybar (not installed yet)
20" steelies with 245/35/20 in front
What I need to do next:
8" notch (just ordered it yesterday)
Mount rear swaybar
Order rear shocks
Rear tires
Cut the bed for the notch and then close it in
Install the headers
Finish the body work - everything is shaved except the gas door
Paint will be a single stage satin black
Burnish the chrome smoothie front bumper
Have the front end aligned-might get an energy susp. kit first.
dynamat or fatmat the interior twice over
install the new-to-me two-tone camel and black interior
finish the seat brackets for my dodge rampage turbo bucket seats
install the rear solid glass
faux wood bed
figure out a rear bumper and taillights- I'm thinking 60' truck rear bumper flipped upside down
after all that I'll work on making the interior and engine compartment pretty
One day I'll bag it that is why I am going with the 8" notch now and have the rear wheels widened to 10.5". They are 7.5" now.
Sorry the only pics I have on this computer were crappy cell phone pictures.
