Re: 1 step forward 10 back...
back from the dead post. so dunno how many people have been following the build of my truck before the accident but i have had a change of plans.. I am going to start building the blue standard cab as a truck i can fart around town in. (missin having a bagged truck. and dont wanna cut up the new one.)
--List as it follows--
1.) take off the crap for a rear bag setup to something safe..
(truck is currently 2 linked by cutting a mono leaf off at the axle. in otherwords- death trap..) when i picked up this truck is didnt matter cause i was going to be using the front only..
2.) body drop. traditional of course.. this one wont be done in a weekend. lol i dont have to drive it so no hurry here.. (does this really suprise you... lol)
3.) paint or primer to one color, the blue is alright but the other half of the truck is rattle can customed flat black... - not my doing, but i hate seeing primer spots and whatnot.
i had a drunken revelation and realized that i would rather have somewhat of a decent truck to drive instead of 2 non-driving bagged trucks... the best part about mini this build up is that i wont have to spend anymoney on it i dont believe. i have all the endlinks and whatnot from the previous 4 link on the green truck, i got spare metal, and i have a half gallon of flat black and 1/2 a gallon of the baby blue paint still :) Ballin on a Budget :)

Re: 1 step forward 10 back...
i started making the link bars today. used old end links from previous setups, and some 2x2 i had.. anyways here is a pic, bt the time i got the truck up on jackstands it was too dark for pictures, the green truck is in the garage so this will be another driveway build.. at least its finally cooling off and no longer 90 something degrees out. lol

Ironic my dads Jeep rear end was done that way but with a couple of link bars added... we took it off and did a full leaf again...because the ubolt broke on trail and it slipped off the leaf...that was a bad day....

Re: 1 step forward 10 back...
i need to add some shocks still, just waitin to get paid. well it rides like a 2 link, a two link with over axle bags and no shocks, lol im not the biggest fan of over axle or 2 links but they do the job. no panhard the bars are welded to the axle so i have no need for a panhard or any other tracking device type stuff,. im sure alot of people will hate on this. dont really care. when its light out i will try and get some better pics of it mounted..
it def doesnt ride like the green one did, but this setup works for what i needed it to..
