Re: Project 67 Suburban - DRGNWGN
looks like a fun project. Love how you primered in the front end and worked on the bags before the "for sale" was ever scraped of the window haha.

Re: Project 67 Suburban - DRGNWGN
I waited until my HD was painted before I scraped the "for sale" off the windshield. That was 2 months into the build...

not quite sure on the year but they differ. mine is a disc brake 5 lug, which isnt very uncommon but not all of them are like that. i think maybe the 6 lugs c10's started in 69.

Re: Project 67 Suburban - DRGNWGN
The half ton trucks were 6 lug and drum brake all the way back to who knows when (at least the 47-54 series) and didn't go to 5 lug until part way through 1970 when discs came out. Someone has most likely upgraded yours with 1970-up parts...good stuff. Does it have power brakes, too?
Had a girlfriend with a 1970 C10 that had power drums (6 lug of course), it stopped pretty well for just being drums. That is, after I replaced all the drums and shoes from being metal on metal and busting two of the drums right off the hub face from being worn through...

Re: Project 67 Suburban - DRGNWGN
i have no idea if it has power brakes, ive never driven it and havent really looked into lol. i know once i get it running someone in january i know im gonna find a lot of problems that a 42 truck would have. surprised me the brake fluid reservoir is completely full..hopefully i have no leaks anywhere

Re: Project 67 Suburban - DRGNWGN
as of right now I just want to get a running drivetrain in it now to enjoy the truck for a little bit. eventually I wanna do a teardown on it. but even for the final drivetrain I just want a nice stock 350 motor with chrome and paint. as for the rims I plan on 22's...maybe 20's. all black, or black with a chrome lip. goin for a real sinister look
