Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
a 5/8 i should only have to cut to bolt in the notch right and maybe trime stock arms
i plan on using djm componets
spindals,springs,shackles,and a flip kit

Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
regular bolt in notch wont be deep enough. you will need super C notch. You also will need to trip your bed support over your differential.

Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
Lots of info here. My question....I got a 89 gmc sierra sle swb and want to do a 3/4 drop, can I do it with springs & shocks, then what about alignemnt or frontend adjustments? Who makes a good kit? Depending on costs I would like to see what spindles and spring would cost also. I have a 70 chevy with 2/4 drop and no problems, the newer trucks I don't know much about yet. Thanks.

yes they make a 3" drop spring for our trucks...hangers and shakles in the rear!

i have a 2000 sierra long bed want to do a 4/6 and do 20x8.5 in front 20x10 in rear. Is it better to do spindles o lower control arms? Also daily driver

Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
spindles are better and cheaper cause with arms you have to realign spindles you do not

Correct. And drop coils in conjunction with drop arms will really F up your front suspension

Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
So who makes a good 3/4 drop kit? Also should I go with the shocks that is packaged in the kit? Or is there different recommendations for type of ride, useage etc.? What is the travel difference between stock height shocks and ones for a 3/4 drop? Thanks again.

Re: My advice on lowering your truck static.
Who out there is runnin the QA1 shocks...how do they like them...what do you have them on? This would be about the best shock for tunnin in the ride and feel of how it rides. They cost alot but with the right parts your truck can handle like a slot car. Ive been thinkin about installin my shock-waves from ART with some ART 3/8" block valves and a tank out back under the bed, then run some QA1s out back to help fine tune ride performance and handling on the street and track.
The difference between stock shocks and drop shock are mostly travle and load/rebound specs.
