Re: Advice on bagging a truck
Sounds like you have a pretty decent list going. One thing I may suggest on a fullsize, is going with at least 6 valves. That's 4 to fill, and 2 for purge. If you only run 4 valves total, you'll get side to side air transfer between the 'bags. Plus if you have more weight on one side of the truck (gas tank), your ride will have a crazy lean.

Very good advice, Thanks.

Any tips and trick concerning the install if I plan on doing it myself.

Re: Advice on bagging a truck
No prob man. As far as any tips or tricks? Hmmm...Id probably run my valves directly off the tanks if I could? - To try and lessen the amount of wiring and airlines/fittings. The more breaks in the line, the higher the risk of an air-leak. Another tip is make sure to use all DOT lines and compression fittings. Aside from that stuff, just make sure the 'bags don't rub on anything, and just have fun with it.

I havent bagged a truck myself yet. but from the READING and SEARCHING i have done. i learnt that even a "bolt in" notch involves a bit of cutting of the frame.

Re: Advice on bagging a truck
Hi Im New To This Board And I Wanted To Know IF Yall Could School Me Out On What Type Of Airbag Setup I Need. I Have A 2007 Silverado Crew Cab On 26inch Rims With 2 12in Subs Under The Rear Seats. I Wanna Bag System Thatll Let Me Drop It To Tha Dirt At Will And Pick It Back Up With The Quickness! But What I Need To Know Is Is There A Setup I Can Get That'll Do That And Not Take Up My Entire Bed Because I Use My Bed Alot And I Know Those Tanks Usually Take Up Alot Of Space? Is There Maybe A Way I Can Have A Hidden Tank Or Something That'll Accomodate What Im Trying To Get Or No? Thanks Anyone Who Can Help Me In Advance!

Re: Advice on bagging a truck
For one, I am sickly jealous... Those trucks look absolutely sick layed out. I think I love it. Suicide doors dot com (SD)has a front cup kit specially for that truck that bolts right in. Mate those cups with some Slam RE-7 bags and a pair of 2" drop spindles, and your front will be in motion. As for the rear - It's a blank canvas. Anything's possible. It's just whether you want to go with an expensive bolt-on kit, or pick out your own link setup from SD (way cheaper and more original in my personal opinion). To get the rear suspension to lay out, you're probably gonna want a regular 8" or 10" step notch. For a link, I'd suggest a triangulated 4-link setup with some Slam RE-8 bags mounted on the lower bars... That's just an idea, you can do a ton of different things...I'm kinda lookin forward to seeing that square beast layin' some pinch-molding...lol.

Re: Advice on bagging a truck
As far as filling and emptying quickly, 1/2" air line, and either 1/2" or 3/8" valves should be pretty speedy. Of course, the more air you use, the faster your tank will drain, and the more your compressor will kick on. My advice - Get an engine driven compressor and a 12 gallon tank. That should make things fairly quick. As far as laying frame, you're gonna need at least an 8" step notch for the rear frame, and you'll need some sort of link-style suspension. Either bolt-on or weld-in. Look on suicide doors dot com, find stuff ya like, make a list maing.

Thanks for the info. Trying to decide on air bag suspension or a static 4/6 drop.
