Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
Well for the most part what I hear about chassis techs drop spindles seem to be positive and satisfying..why else would they offer lifetime warranty on them?

I will always deal with a company first despite people's comments to see what their all about. People do tend to be wrong from time to time but you have to look concerned at such a large mass who are obviously to say the least pissed. My opinion is to start of cheap and see if they deliver...in another words... don't spend 3k dollars on your first purchase. Well recently I purchased from AIM an entire airbag assembly for a 94 dakota. All brackets and bags and the price was super. I'll admit the shipping and handling were higher than any other company and that is a scam but I still saved over 100 dollars. The product quality is great and super compared to the pricing of the product. In my one instance they delivered and did a superb job. I also have a friend who ordered his entire drop kit form them and he said he was completely satisfied although his kit doesn't handle like Hotchikis...you get what you pay for. And for the guy who said he worked for them and they suck. The reason they suck is for hiring people like you who don't give a damn. In your entire extent with the company, if you would have had a better attitude you ,one person, could have made a huge difference in customer service. Thats why people like us suffering from ordering. Too many people like you .....oh geez another order....wooptie doo....oops I lost it....who cares..../////I think it all depends on the ext. you reach and the person you deal with. In my case I reached a salesman with common sense and expertise in the truckin field. Godbless him for filling my order and getting the job done. He deserves his paycheck. That is all I got to say about that.
a little something i found in another forum
http://www.dodgedakotas.com/boards/low/55.html...this is exactly how i feel

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
While I didn't read the whole conversation, I will add that I had a horrible experience with AIM. Without going into lengthy detail, I ordered an airbag kit for a vehicle. The first kit was the wrong one, as well as the second. AIM wouldn't send a call tag for either kit and wouldn't pay for the return shipping, even though it was their mistake. They also refused to refund my money, stating they would only offer me store credit. After realizing I was not going to win without pursuing legal action I ordered the kit one last time. The kit was finally the right one but it was missing 1/2 of the parts that I had paid for. Upon searching the invoice, they had marked all parts as shipped. I called immediately to tell them not all parts had arrived and I was told it was my word against theirs and they wouldn't help me at all. I would encourage anyone who is looking to order from them to do so at their own risk!

I am sorry to bring up a sore subject, but why didn't you just charge back the credit card? If you don't know what that means I will explain. You call your CC company and tell them that they sent you the wrong stuff or didn't ship all of the order and you are getting scammed. They will refund you the money and launch an investigation. They usually side with the cardholder. I have done this many times. Works like a charm.

I paid via debit. I was always a cash guy but after that experience I opened up a credit card. Now all my online transactions are done via my CC and paid off in full that month. Much better piece of mind.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
You can still charge back with a debit card. Same priviledges. Hope that helps someone.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
I have not read all the posts here, but I will say this. I have dealt with them on a few occasions years ago. The first occasion they sent me the wrong air ride kit, then called me a liar. They said they sent exactly what I ordered and made a huge deal about fixing the problem. I asked why in the world would I order an air ride kit for something I don't own?
SECOND time I had a set of CHASSIS TECH / AIM Industries spindles on a truck. I was backing out of a parking space and the spindle snapped in half and the truck fell to the ground. The LIFE TIME WARRANTY is a JOKE. They asked if I had my receipt, which I had lost. I said surely you have it in your computer, but they said they didn't so I was not going get them warrantied. I then explained that their name was cast into the part, isn't that proof enough? The guy said "we can't verify if they were bought from one of our vendors or us". What in the WORLD would that matter? LOL. They were in fact purchased from them and not a vendor. So then I asked if they would be able to sell me just one to replace the bad one, which should not have broken anyway. They told me no I would have to buy a pair. Not that I wouldn't have wanted to replace both anyway due to the lovely display of quality seen there. I am extremely surprised they are still in business after all the negative feedback about these guys. I could be wrong here, but from what I understand Whoever owns trucking magazine owns them, or is owned by them. I think I made that sound complicated enough haha. Anyway my 2 cents, have fun with it!

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
I know this thread has been open a while but I just signed up here and this was the first one I read because it was stickied. I have had nothing but a bad time with chassistech/shAIM here is what i bought. 8 1/2 direct valves the direct valves ya know the ones that arnt ever supposed to stick open, a 4 link 2 2500 bags 2 2600 bags and spindles, digital guage with 5 pressure sending units. Bought all these for my s10 back in 05 well the guage stopped reading accurately after about a month the 4 link bar literally broke, both 2600 bags blew and the valves that dont stick STUCK!! all of them so i pretty much wasted a ton of money just for everything to break. I was only 17 at the time too so I was saving for a while to bag my truck just to have to start all over. I now avoid this company like an STD and actually hold CT/shAIM seminars informing people of how they are garbage and should be avoided. Ok I made that up but somebody should seriously hold those to help out everyone! The only thing that is still on the truck are the spindles. I have sold the tuck since then though wouldnt be suprised of those freakin broke too. So that my horror story :?

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
I ordered my DC9000 From them and it DID not come with 4guage leads it came with 2 10guage, And the box it came out of was marked dc8000
I called them about it and they said that it IS in fact a 9000 its just a old part number on the shipping box...
I am not totally convinced, but it seams fine for the most part, but I also have yet to install it...

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
Here we go through h3ll again....omg, why does this gotta be so HARD to handle for such a popular truck? SUX. I was going to drop my truck this weekend. My buddy said just get AIM stuff (i live in AZ) but he said "you get what you pay for". So instead, I went with a company in AZ called Grunion Fabrication (McGaughy parts) and paid for the springs, shocks, shackles, spindles and they said it will be delivered by Wednesday. Which is today! So, when UPS never showed, i asked for a tracking Number #. To no avail, as they responded with "they were never ordered" which makes sense, because it was towards the end of the day on Friday and sounded like she just wanted to get me off the phone and probably started Monday and forgot about me. She responded finally and said "sorry" but now the parts wont get to me for another 5 days! I said, please Overnight them here by Friday or give me a full refund. Of course they wouldnt want to make a customer happy by covering the overnight fee and i opted for the refund. So there is TWO companies IN AZ with very disappointing results. Now its been a week and a half, i had a garage and friends to help install it all on Saturday and i aint got SH!T to install. I'm so p!ssed off right now, going to get some beer. Now what?????????

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
"Signs, signs, everywhere it's signs," so goes the song. Look at any business district or any industrial area and you will find signs that tell us about the name of a business or the brand names of products it sells. Signs can be plain or signs can be really elaborate, but all are meant to serve the same purpose, advertise a product and/or relay a message to any target audience.
A.I.M. Product's signs can be easily mounted by simply cutting them and gluing to a similar size piece of plastic and then gluing the plastic to the side of your model railroad building.
Or, you can have the sign appear to be on painted on the surfaces of the building. It involves a little bit of extra effort, but the end results are well worth it.
