You'd be amazed at what people can screw up in this industry

So I bought some 2600 bags a while back...before I started hearing all this crap about them....will I die using them?

I'll probably just use them for my mock up and go with something else....

They are fine to work with when you walk into their office thats 2miles from your house. Went in, orderd a roll pan, came back and picked it up 5 days later, looked great.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

there is an article on aim/chassis tech in one of the recent issues of street trucks.

i wonder why they'd do an article on them when their product is so shabby..

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

About 7 years ago I bought AIM/CHASSIS TECH 2" drop spindles, 2" drop front springs, 6" rear end flip kit and front shocks for my '95 Silverado ext. cab shortbed. I had the front end aligned and took it back 3 times because it would pull to the right. The alignment guy has 40 years experience and does all the hot rods and customs plus stockers in my area. He said it was perfectly aligned but it still pulls off. He said the geometry of the spindles was probably not correct.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

ive got aim spindles on my pathfinder that i bought when i was a youngster.
never had a problem that i know of.
my friend got the run around from them trying to get spindles for his toyota.
after 2 sets of s-10 spindles he got the right ones,i dont think i remember him paying restocking fees, shipping maybe, but a couple weeks after getting the right parts he got ANOTHER set of s-10 spindles and sold em hahahaahah.
just goes to show how un-professional and un-organized the company really is.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

I've heard good and bad things about AIM, but more bad than good. I wouldn't take the risk, as it may be cheaper... but you end up paying more in the long run.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

I live about 10 minutes from AIM. Can't say I've had any issues with them. About 6 years ago I installed their 2" spindles, 3" coil springs, and their blocks in my S10 Blazer. I put them in once, and haven't touched them since. They've been doing good, no problems AT ALL. My alignment is good, truck rides fine, I'm very happy with the kit I bought. I also bought their sport mirrors. They gave me C/K mirrors the first time, but swapped them out right away once I came back, resolved easily.

I've also got their hood for my 88 Silverado. Dimensions are very good, and it's one of the better looking hoods IMO, it has very nice dimensions. Hell, this week, I'm probably even going to get a front bumper, and roll pan from them!

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products

Is that so on the bumpers? I would think that would be easy enough to do, but who knows. I was thinking of the one from Street Beat in Phoenix for like $50 more, but they don't list who makes them, so I'm unsure about that. Do you know how the rollpan is? I've seen couple threads here saying it wasn't that bad, but I'm going to smooth it in and add Caddy tails so I'm going to do a lot of bodywork back there anyways, so 100% perfection isn't necessary. If the bumper needs a ton of work, I might search elsewhere then. Everything else I've gotten from them has been satisfactory though.
