Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
i read a post on the previous page saying they sent an extra set of spindles after the right parts were recieved. they did the same thing with me except it was a bumper. dumbasses.
i just read a full page letter in this month's issue of truckin from the owner of aim. he was bitching about people talking **** on the forums.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
If Shaim cared about their customer service just as much as the money they steal from customers for BS parts there wouldn't be a write up in any magazine about their company.

I've seen couple threads here saying it wasn't that bad, but I'm going to smooth it in and add Caddy tails so I'm going to do a lot of bodywork back there anyways, so 100% perfection isn't necessary. If the bumper needs a ton of work, I might search elsewhere then. Everything else I've gotten from them has been satisfactory though.

rollpans are decent, bumpers....blow...not worth the work imo...you can see the tooling marks of their machines...plus the holes aint really that close.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
I bought a set of SS mirrors. Only thing they have that I'd EVER buy. I've owned 3 sets of these and 1 set of Street Scenes and they're very close to being identical, the molds are exactly the same the mirror itself(reflective mirror) is a tad bit smaller.
Anyway they sent me one set of SS mirrors, then they sent me a Truxarossa mirror out of no where, so I called them and told them that they'd sent me a single Truxarossa mirror, they told me to keep it. I guess they thought I'd placed another order for SS mirrors because I received ANOTHER set of SS mirrors the next week.
Here's this months ads:

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
I see that some people have had issues with AIM, but I've had good experiences with them in the past. Shipping with parts to Canada is a pain, and takes a long time. I ordered some parts they were here 4 business days later, I was supprised.
However, I did email regarding a possible warranty issue, and I never heard back. But my demands on the warranty were a little strong. I wanted a replacement before sending my old one back, and I didnt want to pre-pay.
If I had to pre-pay to get the new one out, I would have just upgraded to something else.
Regardless of which, I was not totally unsatisfied, however I would have atleast liked a reponse to my email regarding parts I had bought a year earlier, because they did state lifetime warranty.

Joe has no clue what hes doing by starting this. he will lose more business than he will gain even if he wins. Nobody in this tight knit scene will ever let him live it down.

Re: Chassis Tech / Aim products
Just gonna cut/paste my post from another site regarding this....
SLAPP suit, they don't work. Period.
SLAPP = "Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation"
And in any case, if I understand correctly, winning a defamation suit in the US is incredibly hard (and expensive) to do. The plaintiff has an incredible burden of proof. I've never even heard of an internet forum being successfully hit with a defamation suit by a vendor of this kind. Truth and opinion are two defenses against defamation, and are going to work pretty well against this clown. Freedom of speech of course is a big issue too.
And of course the defendants can file a counterclaim for malicious prosecution. And they can win. And the fact that Mr. Morrow is directly threating SSM regarding funds available to each party is just plain hilarious... talk about throwing evidence in front of your opponent:

I have no problem with honest postings, but I do have a problem with bashing. If all you have is $200 bucks then you certainly cannot afford what is about to unfold. Go ahead and post. If you want to be around to service your 60,000 enthusiasts, then do the right thing and moderate your forum for actual facts, not bashing. If you only have $200 bucks, then do the right thing Kris. You really do not want to take me on, and I have better things to do than close you down.

More info on SLAPPs here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SLAPP
(and Arizona is one of 25 states that now has specific anti-SLAPP laws on the books)
