Best place to buy bushings for kp 6 link?
Well after an inspection I need to replace 8 bushings on my kp 6 link. Been installed since middle of last september. Its rediculous that the are all worn out this soon. They were greased and the bolts were torqued to the right specs..Maybe I should call KP and see if theres anything they can help me with..Where else is a cheap place to get some bushings?

Show- Bagged w/6 link, 15 gal under bed, EDC, 22's, Satin black, GMC grille, HIDs, custom interior, 18" BTL in a blow through w/ Kicker kx 2500.1

Go- 350 w/headers, true duals, TB spacer, CAI

Has KP ever chimed in on what " they believe" is the cause of these bushings burning up so quick? It seems to me that it is a common problem. I don't have any experiance with these kits so I really don't know. You figure for the price oof the kit that these things would go for atleast 50k miles with out incident.

I was wondering the same thing, maybe Clint will chime in with a answer?

If this keeps up I may as well switch to super pivots or something.

Re: Best place to buy bushings for kp 6 link?
My bushings are pretty bad as well but it is from doing side to side. That will eat the bushings up fast on the kp 6 link. The kit was not designed for doing side to side.
95 GMC Sierra ext. stepside. bagged with kp 6 link. Denali front clip. Underconstruction!

95 Chevy Silverado ext. fleetside. Stock daily driver.

Yeah thats my conclusion as well, anything with parrallel links are not to do side to side. But beings as I don't know the kits very well "KP" I wasn't sure if it was faulty bushings or something else.

Re: Best place to buy bushings for kp 6 link?
so let me just get this right before i order anything. The cantilever has the wider bushings in the back, and on the dog bone? and then the 4 link has the smaller bushings?

Re: Best place to buy bushings for kp 6 link?
I actually just got off the phone with them..The guy was a real tool..couldnt get ahold of clint so it was just tech support..He first lied and said the bushings arnt forsale on their website, and gave me a price double what they are. Then he told me that "it just happens sometimes" as to why they wear out. Said overtightening wouldnt hurt, and neither would not greasing them. Also hitting sides shouldnt rip them apart. He wasnt helpful at all, sounded like he was doing something else judging from his 10 second pauses between sentences..idk..didnt have the torque specs either

Re: Best place to buy bushings for kp 6 link?
They are normally really good..When I ordered my **** through Gauge Magazine, they sent me the wrong kit. Wouldnt pick it back up or anything. Clint from KP finially helped me out and got gauge to take it back and send me the right one..took about a month and a half to do it
