2004
Chevy
Silverado
2wd
Stock
Stock, soon to be 16x8
Belltech 3/4 Drop, Nitro TwinTube Shocks
Stock Leafs, Kit comes with new poly bushing front and rear.
Stock Bumpers
Kit fits Like a glove.
I love the ride, but if any of you guys are from Tulsa, you know that some areas (Utica, for example) can be rough on a dropped ride.
THe only recomendation i have is that the kit had a torque spec for the new shackle brackets on the rear both driver and passenger side that said torque to 100lb/ft. Two of the bolts broke after barely 50lb/ft. So, i would say ratchet tight, I have checked the bolts at 10,100,1000 miles, and they have not budged, so its your call on that. Oh, and definitely remove the bed. You can do the install without, but it is sooooooooo much easier without the bed in the way.
Later,
Dave

Remove the bed for a shackle bolt? Thats nutz! All you gotta do is jack up the axle untill the leaf spring hole gets to the top of the bed. Then use the space in between the frame and the bed to put the bolt in.

It sounds nutz, i know, but it saves some crawling, and i had four guys hanging out when i did it, so that was a great advantage. You are right though, its not necessary at all, just helpful. I just did it because i could :)
Oh, and BTW, love the Silverado SS 20's on your truck, hope top get a set myself soon.

Re: Post Your Setup
new set up for me...
02 Z66 Avalanche 2WD
305/40/22's (for now)
Air Ride Tech bagged
2 5 gal tanks, 2 compressors, 1/2" lines and valves cut off the bump stop in the front and removed the complete bumpstop bracket in the rear. Sets axle to frame in the rear and fenders rest on top of the tires in front (going with a smaller tire soon)
no cuts in the frame, nothing notched. still have 2" drop spindles up front and the drop shocks in the back.
