Re: Flipkit C Notch Question?
the notch will give your axle more room to move up. the bigger the notch the more room you will have. you should be alright with a regular size notch but if you bag your truck that is a different story. search cnotch and you will see the different sizes.

You dont need a c-notch if youre on a 4" drop. If you go lower then you'll want to. Also if you decide to go with a 6" flipkit, youre going to need to go back to stock hangers and shackles.

On my last rcsb C1500, I installed a Belltech #6605 flipkit. The instructions are good but the notch didnt fit as tightly as I had hoped. It leaves a gap where it meets the bottom part of the frame. Also the lower bolt holes on the paper template they give you are marked too low, so when you install the supplied nuts and bolts the washers wont allow the bolt to go in straight. I ended up not using a washer in the inside. The other thing you have to do is cut the bed frame support so the notch can slide in over the frame. On the DJM kit you dont have to.

That's true with OBS's, but most NBS's will bottom out at 4".

Re: Flipkit C Notch Question?
I have a 3-4 drop on my 06 and the axel hits the framme all the time. So i said **** it and cut the bed up and monster notched the frame and went to air. Now it rides like a cadillac.
