Chrome 88 98 Factory Wheels (454ss style) Tuck?
I have a 98 SWB that I am about to drop 5/7.
It has the factory chrome wheels (like 454ss wheels).
I have heard some are 7" wide & some are 8" wide & also that all were 7" wide. Which is true or whic do I have?
Will these tuck? (and with a smaller tire obviously)
Any pics would be great too.

Somewhere on here someone showed that all those type of wheels are 7" when mesured correctly.
I've seen several trucks with them tucked. I want to say they used a 235/60 on it.

Yeah I ran a 245/60/15 on the regular alloy wheel on a truck 5/7'ed w/ no problems.
I just want to verify that the chrome wheels will tuck.

275/60s will work up front with a 4/6 with rolled or cut lips. 5/7 might be pushin it. my 4/6 with 275/60s all around...
but, after i bagged it... i had some problems (with no lip)

I thought the ones that came on regular trucks were 7 and the actual 454ss ones were 8.

Yep, mines a oem red '92 and they had a few white ones as well. I wish mine had the original wheels when I got her. She had some Eagle's then that were lighter, but didn't look as good as the factory wheels.

Is there a difference between the ones that came on regular trucks as opposed to the 454 ones? What years of regular silverados did these come on?

Im pretty Sure that the regular ones are all 15x7 and the 454's were 15x8.
