Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
I was at car show yesterday, first time entering for judgin got 5th. but anyway, on the way back one of the club member told me he was hearing noise from the rear since it's only 2" shakle drop I don't think the angle issue what else can it be? did any one experience after such a small drop?

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
Here's my truck
Belltech keys up front, Belltech 4" hangers and shackles out back, and lift blocks removed.
My rear Z71 shocks were too long so I replaced them with nitro active drop shocks.
Handles great, rides not so good, and has bumpsteer now.

If you want to get another inch or so out of the back you can take the overload spring out of the leaf pack and get a leaf pack kit from napa and move it up the leaf to keep your load rating. I read it on here somewhere, I believe from IanBroste but not sure. Also, there are the summit/tahoe limited "body kits" that have the side skirts and rear skirts that will hide that frame.

btw, I went online looking for that leaf pack kit, which one is the one to use?

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
I was wandering if I bought a 6" lowering c-notch kit for my 94 4X4, Would it make it as low as a 2wd lowered 6"? 91FULLSIZE said they are the same in the back, but my 94 4X4 stock height is higher than my dads 95 2wd stock height. Or would it just lower it 6" from my stock height?

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
I didn't see any lift blocks on it. I'll have to take a closer look at my dads and mine side by side to see if the extra height is in the hangers or the shackles.
I was also wandering if Belltech's 6" flip kit would even work on a 4wd? I can't find a number or email address to contact them, thier site has been down for months.

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
has anyone with an '03 and up silverado installed the DJM 4x4 kit that lowers it 3/4? it uses 3 inch lower control arms up front and shackle and hangers out the back. anyone got this kit? i'm really interested in buying it. also, if you got it, how's it ride and all?

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
ive been wanting to bag my 4x4 for a while now and ive been lookign into just doing the rear first since the front will need alot of custom work i have a question for all the 4x4 owners my rims are 22"x9" 5.5 back space and 14mm offset 265/45/r22 it seems they will tuck fine in the rear with the lip rolled or cut off but the fronts seem to stick past the fender almost half an inch is this just an issue with the 4x4s and the torsion bars will this problem correct itslef when i remove the bars or am i out of luck and going to have to look for diff rims any help appreciated

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
Your definatly going to need new rims front and back if you plan to bag it also you cannot roll the edge of your back fenders because there fiberglass. Take a look of the first posts to see the super backspacing needed to bag.
