Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
anybody thats bagged the front, what's been the situation with CV binding?? 91fullsize said his didn't have any problems but i've read elswhere that they bind at about 5 inches of drop.
If they dont bind i'm planning a hybrid air/hydro setup for the front, if they do bind i think i'm gunna pull the shafts and not have 4x4 anymore.

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
finally got my 20's back on. I really like the look with them on. I had to buy new tires since I lowered her. I lowered the truck as low as I could without getting the rear flip kit. I would like to lower the front another inch and even the rear with the front. Then shave the bumpstops a little, get some drop shocks so my ride isn't so "stiff" and should be good for now.

good luck bagging it with 24s... it's do-able, but really hard. you can do the rear if you get the right backspace or narrow the axel...the front will be a whole different challenge, especially with a 4x4. i hope you have deep pockets.

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
What offset or bs is needed to tuck a 22x9.5 wheel on a 96 4x4 tahoe. Hoping that a 25 offset will be enough because I really want a paritcualr set of wheels. Also what tires do i run can I get away with 305/40/22 or will i need to go smaller like a 285or 265/40/22/
I'm a noob when it comes to this stuff
Thanks

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
'91 Fullsize,
I've got a '99 2-door Tahoe, 4x4.
I am wanting to drop, but not slam, my Tahoe.
Belltech offers a 3.5" front, 4 rear kit with no mods to the drive shaft angles etc.
Since you originally posted your message on this Forum, have you come across any bolt on bag kits?
If so, who and where can I find info on them?
Also, I have 16" stock rims with standard size tire.
I want to get the lowered look without scrapping anything (it's my daily driver, 24 miles inner city one way). What size rim and tire would you suggest if I wanted to have the tire come up to the curve of the fender curve? I'd like to have low profile, but not so much of the harsh ride that comes with that. Is there a happy medium?
Thanks for your time.
Tried looking at the pics, but I guess there gone.

Re: 4x4 lowered / bagged owners check in.
Are the 3/4 tonne keys the same as the Bell-tech drop keys for a 1/2 tonne?
Reading some of the tech in the offroad section it says that the 3/4 tonne trucks use 1/2 tonne keys to get some added lift with cranking so......Does that mean they will drop a 1/2 tonne?
