What offset is right for me?
Lowered 3/3.5 on a 2dr Tahoe.
After some searching I was told that I need something with a 20-30 offset. I see that there is a set for the newer chevy trucks, will these work for my application? Will any of these fit, and allow a little tuck if I go lower? http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...loy§ion=DE

Re: What offset is right for me?
I just checked right after I posted and seen that the bolt pattern is the same. Now, with the 30 offset will I be able to run a larger rim, like a 22 or a 24?

you have to measure from hub to the end of fender and see how far that is. then you can see how much off set you need for different size rims.. |

measure the distance from hub to the inner fender, then subtract that amount from width. that will give you what backspace you need. so if you are looking at chart, compare that length with backspace, make sure that how much it will stick ut at front. because larger the wdith, length in front changes. example, with rims you menetioned. http://www.americanracing.com/wheels...loy§ion=DE lets say length between the hub to inner fender is 2.5 inch. 20x8.5 offset +30 will give you 6" of back space, so you have 2.5inch of distance from your hub to inner fender. so it is just right. if you use 22x9.5 offset +30, it will give you 6 1/2 inch of backspace but 9.5 - 6.5 is 3 inch for front distance from hub to inner fender. so it will stick out .5 inch. |

Re: What offset is right for me?
If I understand this correctly,
The 24X10 with a 30mm Offset using your hub measurement will be roughly 3.4. So that would protrude almost one full inch past the front fender? I feel like a tard, I passed geometry in college lol. Quote:

Re: What offset is right for me?
you have to actually need to measure the distance between hub tot he inner fender. but yes you are correct on the idea. so if you don't want to stick out, you want to have more positive offset
more positive offset = more backspace. |

Re: What offset is right for me?
The search for a +30 or greater offset is killing me. I think I found the ideal size though. 22X9.5 with a +30 offset should do the trick. Now the question is what size tire am I looking for?

Re: What offset is right for me?
Check these out... I think I found them! I'm going with the +30 offset.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/22-CH...spagenameZWDVW 22x9.5 bolt pattern 6x139 +13 or +30 I also can proably get a 265-40-22 I did the math, it looks like this will work for my 2dr tahoe dropped 3/5.
